Something of Thailand

Our hotel view from Holiday Inn in Bangkok. Bangkok as you'll see is massive.

We stayed only one night in Bangkok. No this is not the song but apparently there is a new raunchier version out. I haven't heard it.

We did the Tuk Tuk and the PatPong experience. You'll learn if you ever go to Thailand that everything is about 50% off their opening offer and in some cases like patpong even worse.




These are condiminums that foreigners can own in Bangkok. Foreign ownership is a bit of a grey area with people using companies to buy houses through 49% ownership stakes and the remaining stakes being ceeded useless on incorporation.

I think it's going to be interesting what happens over the next few years around this foreign ownership issue.

The water on the river is dirty as hell but other than that we enjoyed our short stay in Bangkok. I don't know if I would have liked to have stayed there for more than two nights. Luckly we only stayed there for one night.







This is a Tuk Tuk we drove in. The guy was very friendly and ended up taking us to the more expensive joints in town. We thought something was weird when he didn't try to over charge us. We found out later that the places he took us to were basically rip offs.

Anyways we didn't pay him for the fare because he disappeared and maybe we broke even. Hey I like to keep a positive spin on things.

Thailand With Love

Hi Folks,

We're back from Thailand and I will have pictures up really soon. We also bought a disposable camera and have some nice clear pics that we will get scanned in. So our picture quality will be vastly improved.

Anyways we're safe and sound back in Shatti Al Qurm.
